1968 Large 10p Ten Pence Coin

The Larger 10p coins were minted between 1968 and 1981 before being replaced with the smaller ones that we are used to seeing now. The 10p replaced the Floring (Two Shilling) Coin when the UK went to decimisation in 1971. All of these coins feature the english lion on the reverse and Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.

Because these coins are no longer in circulation, they are seen as collectible coins and are sought after by coin collectors all over the world. They also make great birthday gifts for people born in the year that the coin was minted. For some people, holding a coin from their past can bring back memories and often leads to a conversation about what they would have purchased with the coin.

So if you are adding to your collection, or wanting a gift that really means something, a coin is a great option.
