2 x glass demijohns with airlock bubblers & bungs

The burning question is of course: Traditional Glass Demijohns or Modern cheap PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) Demijohns . . . . . Glass can be sterilised easily and used many times, the smooth surfaces are easy to clean and the vessel will take warm liquids, but most importantly they look so cool! . . . . PET Demijohns on the other hand, are a much lower price and considerably lighter than glass and unlikely to smash, dented maybe but still useable, they're less likely to attract a "Fragile" surcharge in transit therefore cheaper to transport. Both can be fitted with Bubbler Airlocks via a Bung in the case of the glass Demijohn, or plastic cap with handle for PET Demijohns . . . . so the best solution to this ongoing poser is to try both, then write a "For & Against" article and send it to me for publishing in Customer Reviews on this Balliihoo website"
