Creative Process

The piece has been made using a variety of glass mediums. The tree trunks are hand painted on a clear glass base using glass paints made for fusing and then small pieces of coloured glass and have been arranged to make the design. The piece is then fired in the kiln to just the right temperature so that the glass only just starts to melt and becomes a smooth raised contour to the surface making a very tactile piece.
