Freesia Picture in Box Frame

This beautiful hand-crafted fused glass Freesia Picture will look spectacular on your wall or would make a unique gift. The textured raised contour to the fused glass surface makes it a very tactile piece that you’ll want to touch!

Creative Process

The piece has been made using a variety of glass mediums. The stems, leaves and flowers are hand painted on a clear glass base using glass paints made for fusing and then small pieces of coloured glass and have been added to make the grass. The piece is then fired in the kiln to just the right temperature so that the glass only just starts to melt and becomes a smooth raised contour to the surface making a very tactile piece. Each firing process can take up to 14 hours to complete and every time the glass is fired it is cooled slowly and annealed for long enough to give it durability and strength. The fired glass design piece has then been carefully mounted onto the glass of a box frame and is ready to hang.

Size Details

The glass piece measures approx. 11cm x 11cm. The Box Frame measures approximately 26cm X 26cm square and 3cm deep.

Every item in the shop is handmade by me and then carefully packed and sent by ‘signed for’ Royal Mail using only recycled, biodegradable or paper packaging.
