Mini Floral Lantern

DESCRIPTION

This beautiful hand-crafted fused Glass Mini Floral Lantern is a perfect shade for your Tea Light Candles and looks great on a window sill, mantel piece or as a table centrepiece. The textured raised contour to the fused glass surface makes it a very tactile piece that you’ll want to touch!

The lanterns in the photos will be similar to the one you will receive.

CREATIVE PROCESS

On a clear glass base fusible glass paints and small pieces of coloured glass have been use to make the design. The piece is then fired in the kiln to just the right temperature so that the glass only just starts to melt and becomes a smooth raised contour to the surface making a very tactile piece. Each firing process can take up to 24 hours to complete and every time the glass is fired it is cooled slowly and annealed for long enough to give it durability and strength.

The lantern can be used indoors or outside with a candle or fairy lights.

All five sides have been decorated which when lit up give a lovely glow to any room.

The lantern is 21 cm tall and 12 cm in diameter.

Every item in the shop is handmade by me and this item is carefully gift wrapped inside a box with tissue paper packing. The outer postage box will be packed with recycled, biodegradable or paper packing and sent by ‘signed for’ Royal Mail.
