White Art Bowl - Large

DESCRIPTION

This beautiful hand-crafted fused Glass Bowl makes a perfect statement centrepiece for any table and is very functional too! 

This is a one of a kind handmade item, so the one in the picture is the one you will receive.

CREATIVE PROCESS

The piece has been made using a Frit Stretching technique with white, clear and coloured glass creating layers of coloured streaks within the depth of the glass. The end result can be unpredictable resulting in a completely unique one of a kind piece that cannot be replicated. The piece goes through a series of firings to achieve the end result. On the final firing the glass is placed on a ceramic mould which slumps the flat piece into a bowl. Each firing process can take up to 14 hours to complete and every time the glass is fired it is cooled slowly and annealed for long enough to give it durability and strength.

This bowl has a translucent quality and is see-through in places. 

This is a large heavy bowl, hand washing is recommended.

SIZE DETAILS:

The bowl measures approximately 32.5cm in diameter x 5cm high at the rim. 

Every item in the shop is handmade by me and this item is carefully wrapped inside a box with tissue paper packing. The outer postage box will be packed with recycled, biodegradable or paper packing and sent by Tracked 24 Royal Mail.
