Rainbow Dandelion Crochet
Hi, I’m Sarah, the maker, dreamer, and founder behind Rainbow Dandelion Crochet. Crochet has always been more than a craft for me — it’s a form of mindfulness, a way to find calm, and a way to connect with others. I started creating as a way to soothe my mind, to focus, and to bring a little light and joy into the world, and over time, those small stitches grew into Rainbow Dandelion Crochet.
I’m someone who finds freedom by the seaside, where the rhythm of the waves and the scent of salt in the air make me feel most like myself. That feeling of calm and clarity flows into every piece I make. My crochet is inspired by nature, rainbows, dandelions, and moments of mindfulness, and I love creating pieces that bring comfort, colour, and joy into people’s lives.
Running Rainbow Dandelion Crochet isn’t just about making beautiful things — it’s about creating safe, thoughtful, and inclusive products. I’ve invested in UKCA testing for all toys and child-focused items, studied copyright to protect my designs and respect others’, and worked closely with Trading Standards so that everything I make is safe and compliant. My work reflects the care I put into every stitch, and the ethics and safety behind my business are as important to me as the finished crochet itself.
I love teaching too. Whether it’s through beginner-friendly kits, workshops, or one-to-one lessons, I want to make crochet accessible to everyone. I design with inclusivity in mind — sensory-conscious, fidget-friendly, and suitable for people of all abilities. Watching someone learn, create, and leave with a sense of pride and calm is one of the best parts of what I do.
Rainbow Dandelion Crochet isn’t just a business, it’s a vision. I dream of creating a craft café where makers, weirdos, dreamers, and fidgeters can come together to learn, create, and unwind. I imagine a space full of colour, laughter, and the quiet hum of creativity, alongside collaborations with local makers and wool shops. My hope is that through crochet, mindfulness, and community, I can make the world feel just a little bit brighter, calmer, and more connected.
I’m here because I love what I do, because I believe in the power of handmade, mindful creation, and because I want to share that love with you. Every stitch, every kit, every workshop is a little piece of my story, and I’m so glad you’re here to be part of it.
